Greg Scheinman: Whatā€™s your take on curation and how it aligns with your philosophy of creating more and consuming less?

Dr. Adam Dorsay: Iā€™m really big on the idea of creating more and consuming less, but in my current mindset, I see it as creating through curation and exploration of what truly interests me. How do we cut through all the noise and figure out whatā€™s meaningful? Itā€™s about discovering where to go, what to do, and who to trust. And beyond that, I see my creation as amplifying other peopleā€™s workā€”whether thatā€™s products, books, brands, or events. I want to say, ā€œHey, this is worth your time, and this other stuffā€”donā€™t bother with it.ā€

Greg Scheinman: It sounds like you and I would have a blast geeking out over that kind of stuff!Ā

Dr. Adam Dorsay: Exactly! Itā€™s how we got connected in the first place. Our mutual friend and publisher Naren Aryal, texted me, ā€œYouā€™ve got to meet this guy, Greg,ā€ and when someone like him makes a recommendation, you donā€™t question itā€”you just say yes. Thereā€™s this automatic trust that builds over time among men like us, and itā€™s cool because you know thereā€™s a genuine alignment.

Greg Scheinman: You mentioned how some people seem naturally wired to wake up happy. What do you think about that?

What if the most ambitious thing one can do is to seek a life of harmony, leisure, and intention? What if ambition is not about endless toil but about putting yourself in a position where you no longer have to work so hard?

Redefining Ambition

At its core, ambition is the desire to achieve something meaningful, to create a life that reflects personal values and aspirations. In our modern, hyper-productive society, we often equate ambition with external markers of success: career accolades, financial milestones, non-stop hustle. Yet, there's a growing recognition that true ambition isn't always about moreā€”more money, more recognition, more work. Sometimes, the most ambitious goal is to do less, but with more focus, clarity, and presence.

Wanting to retire, work less, or enjoy life more isn't the absence of ambition. It's the acknowledgment that ambition, like life, evolves. It is a shift in priorities, an understanding that the energy we expend is finite. The most ambitious may not be those who hustle endlessly, but those whoā€¦
