The Truth About Maximizing Midlife And

Getting Back What Matters Most

Mentally. I had transitioned out of my job years before I ever actually left the firm.

I saw and felt signs of my life slowly slipping away.

My energy was sapped, my stress and anxiety increased by the day, and my identity was getting lost in this business and job that I never really saw as a career and not being authentically tied to who I was.

No matter how hard I worked to combine personal passion with professional expertise it was met with this resistance that I just couldn’t determine or decipher how to overcome.

Trying to create authenticity where authenticity doesn’t exist is exhausting

For a very long time, this was the means that justified the ends.

I was making great money. I had equity in this firm. I had a wife, kids, private school, cars, mortgage all to take care of and I couldn’t just walk from that sense of security my job offered. But I was walking away in my soul.  I was literally killing time and I didn’t like myself very much for the position that I had put myself in, even though from the outside looking in, it was a very envious and admirable position.

The money

The status

The connections

I knew I had to design a path to either transition out of this or use it to fulfill my passions elsewhere.

I saw three paths:

  1. Get out now
  2. Make a plan to transition out over time
  3. Stay in and leverage it for all its worth…

Please hear me loud and clear…

I’m not the guy that’s gonna tell you to quit your job to pursue your passion.

However, I am the guy that’s going to tell you that life is  NOT just about your job or business.

It’s about owning your identity, situation, and quality of life.  And most importantly it’s about taking back some of the shit that matters most.

Hi, I’m greg scheinman

I help guys prepare for, avoid and beat the proverbial midlife crisis.

When I was in my 20’s I was Harvey Weinstein’s Executive Assistant. I told him to f-off 20 years before the #MeToo movement and still went on to produce two successful films.
In my 30’s I built an award winning sports DVD business for children that held licenses with the NBA, NCAA, MLB and NASCAR and produced over 50 titles. It was called Team Baby Entertainment. Former Disney Chairman Michael Eisner acquired that business.

I’m fortunate to have been featured in The New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, Adweek, the New York Post, The Wall Street Journal, ESPN, The Big Idea with Donnie Deutsch, and Variety. I was the former host of PBS’s Profiles of Innovation, a broadcast program that dug deep with accomplished entrepreneurs.

For almost 15 years I was a partner at a large risk management and insurance agency; which was acquired at the end of 2020 and led me to where I am today.

I’ve had my fair share of challenges too.

I lost my father in my teens, experienced the imprisonment of my brother, I’ve struggled with weight, alcohol, hair loss, body image (warning: today I rarely wear a shirt when I work out), anxiety, and self-confidence.

The fact is that we ALL have experiences and choices that shape our lives. The wisdom gained gives us the option of being a victim OR using our experiences to learn, share, and become better people.

The Problem Most Men Face

Most men are solving for the wrong thing.

I see so many men that are not present. They’re missing the important moments. They’re “at” the little league game but they’re in their suits, on their phones, pacing 10-20 feet from the field…

Most of the time they’re not in great shape and prioritize work over family, health, and experiences.

They’re chasing “things” and the expectations of others.

They don’t understand that time is the one thing we can’t make more of.

My dad was gone at 47…It can happen to anyone at any time.

They get on this path and they lose who they were and instead become complacent, conform to the group mentality and lose the courage to set boundaries, priorities, personal goals, and be themselves.

They prioritize corporate culture over personal culture.

And for what?

A company that would replace them in a minute.

That would remove them from their culture the moment they stop producing, rock the boat or something happens to them.

The “culture” they should be consumed with is the one within themselves and their families.

Can you relate?

Introducing The Maximized Man

The 8-week guided group coaching experience to support you in maximizing middle age and getting back what matters most

Whether you’re a CEO of a company, an entrepreneur, or someone who works a 9-5 and has big dreams, you probably have not been taught how to get the most out of life…and that’s why I’m here.

My Coaching Philosophy

Through the 6F’s Model I’ve developed I help you design the life you want by looking at these key areas and turning those Fs into As.

My methodology regarding work and life is simple:

Turning the F’s – Family, Fitness, Finance, Food, Fashion & Fun into A’s to live the life you want

week 1- Family

Always comes First. Love over all. If you’re still yet to have children, this is more than just your family. This is how you relate with and express love with those who are closest to you. In Week 1 you’ll take a deep look into how you show up in your family unit and design exactly what you want that to look like.

week 2 - Fitness

Without your health and fitness—physical and mental—you can’t do the things you love with the ones you love. Most men get so focused on their careers and other obligations and let their health and fitness suffer. No matter where you are in your journey this will help you see what’s getting in your way, how to set goals in this area or life, and what to do to get started.

week 3 - Finance

Finances… Scary shit for a lot of men in middle age. Do I have enough? Will I have enough? Do I have time to earn more? Am I stuck in a job/career where I’m maxed out? Can I afford to make a change? Am I spending to much? Trying too hard to keep up? This week will help you start answering those questions and support you in creating a clear vision for the future.

week 4 - Food

For experiencing sustenance, socializing, and flavors, breaking bread is fuel for your adventures in body, mind, and soul. This week you’ll uncover what habits you currently have that are holding you back and contributing to low energy or those extra pounds around the waistline and what to do about it.

week 5 - Fashion

You enhance confidence and presence when you step into your style and express yourself. Part of developing confidence is having a personal style that is unique to you and gives you that edge you’ve been looking for.  This week we’ll look at some practical ways to leverage the power of fashion to call upon more confidence and discover your personal style.

week 6 - Fun

Without fun, we’re done. What’s the point of any of this if we’re not having any fun? This week you’ll take a close look at what aspects of your life are actually enjoyable. You don’t need to love every area of your life, we all have the necessary evils. But if you’re not making time for fun that has a direct impact on how you show up for your goals in life.

week 7 - The Power of Playing Offense

Curated over a 15-year journey of leading and coaching business teams in the NFL and NBA, Paul Epstein will share the top insights from his bestselling playbook for personal and team transformation. You will learn the keys to leading self, leading others, and leading impact with an emphasis on practical and tactical ways to apply the playbook on Monday morning.

week 8 - Living and Leading ON PURPOSE

As Paul Epstein writes his 2nd book, ON PURPOSE, be one of the 1st to learn his methodology to align your head, heart and hands in order to build the life you want. This experience will start with Why (including a personal Why discovery assessment) and the daily application if it, where purpose shifts from a distant North Star to a 365 way of life.
