HOW WOULD YOU LIKE TO SHOW UP?

What is the MidLife Male™?

He’s a guy @35-55 balancing work, life, family, health/fitness, finance/money, some style/fashion - trying to balance it all and live his best life possible without regret.
He’s about having both substance and style. About punching the bully in the mouth. About experiences over things. He’s about quality over quantity. He’s about learning and living. About trying, failing and ultimately succeeding. He’s about questioning things. He’s not trying to fit in or conform. He’s into iconic, classic, timeless style.

He’s about being a great father. About understanding that there are no things more valuable than time, health and family. He’s about knowing when enough is enough. He is about perseverance, discipline and having fun.
I talk to other midlife males on my podcast. I publish a newsletter about fitness, food, fashion, family, finance and fun - not to provide advice or come at this like I'm any kind of expert but rather that we’re all in this together, just trying to do our best, be our best and be happy, secure and comfortable in our own skin - Midlife Male is a lifestyle for "like-minded" guys just trying to figure it all out.
Just hoping to inspire, aspire and perspire together.

I would like to make a difference.

Not in a look at me way, but in a one-on-one, meaningful and impactful way.

Guys are struggling to show up.  I know this because you’re telling me. I hear you, understand you, and am listening to you.

So, how would you like to show up?

I’d like to show up thru leading by example, coaching, sharing, and doing work that feels good and where the spotlight’s not on me but rather on helping other men shine the light on themselves and give them the tools so they can begin to show up better for their wives, kids, career, health, fitness, finances, fun, stop feeling lost and start living with purpose and focus.

It was mentioned to me the other day that I haven’t been seen on LinkedIn as much and that it would be a good place to do more messaging…That’s true. I think I’ve shied away from it some because if I’m really being honest, I’m a little intimidated with all the chest-thumping about business and constantly offering their services to me.  And yet here I am…

While I root for everyone to succeed and am happy for them, I prefer to focus more on connecting with people through other areas of life more than through their quest for corporate or entrepreneurial dominance.  I find myself fascinated, confused, and conflicted by it and easily sucked in by captivating personalities and stories that sometimes leave me feeling inadequate and like an imposter by comparison.

Through my podcast and coaching I continually hear about how unsatisfying this emphasis on business really is in most cases and how men can’t turn it off, check out, and prioritize showing up for family, fitness, faith, and fun even so why would I choose to do the same?  Particularly from the outside looking in.

All that being said, one thing I’ve consistently talked about is that we must push ourselves outside of our comfort zone, and if what I’m really drawn to do is help men maximize middle age, then I also need to show up in the places where the men who need the most help are.  I just need to do it differently, so that it’s authentic and feels right to me.

Beginning August 1st, look for an updated and greater LinkedIn presence from me and the inclusion of the newsletter there as well.  If we’re not already “Linked” there, shoot me an invite.
