Stop Thinking You Have The Answers and Start Asking More Questions

What is the MidLife Male™?

He’s a guy @35-55 balancing work, life, family, health/fitness, finance/money, some style/fashion - trying to balance it all and live his best life possible without regret.
He’s about having both substance and style. About punching the bully in the mouth. About experiences over things. He’s about quality over quantity. He’s about learning and living. About trying, failing and ultimately succeeding. He’s about questioning things. He’s not trying to fit in or conform. He’s into iconic, classic, timeless style.

He’s about being a great father. About understanding that there are no things more valuable than time, health and family. He’s about knowing when enough is enough. He is about perseverance, discipline and having fun.
I talk to other midlife males on my podcast. I publish a newsletter about fitness, food, fashion, family, finance and fun - not to provide advice or come at this like I'm any kind of expert but rather that we’re all in this together, just trying to do our best, be our best and be happy, secure and comfortable in our own skin - Midlife Male is a lifestyle for "like-minded" guys just trying to figure it all out.
Just hoping to inspire, aspire and perspire together.

I realize firsthand that life is hard.

I’m experiencing it every day myself.

If I had the answers I wouldn’t have to ask so many questions or challenge so many principles, stereotypes, expectations, and routines.

I’m interested in pushing buttons, exploring new areas of life, embracing curiosity, having different experiences, learning, growing, and having fun in the process.

I’m interested and fascinated by people and all of you.

Quite frankly, I’m constantly amazed by how anyone does anything in life; particularly those who seem to make the things that take so much effort seem effortless; who never appear rushed or too busy to help out; to maintain grace and poise under pressure and who are far more durable than I could ever be.

The ones who seem to have “Figured it out”.

Are you asking enough questions?

What questions are you asking?  Of yourself, to others, in your process?

Here are some questions I ask.

Let me know yours.  I’m always looking to add to my list.

  • Why am I doing “This”?
  • Do I need to, want to, or have to?
  • How will I do “This”?
  • At what cost; financial, time, risk, reward, relationships?
  • Does doing “This” help or hurt me; my family, my goals?
  • Does this fill or empty my tank?
  • Is it fun?
  • If I take “This” action, say yes to “This”, commit to “This” what is the reaction to my action?
  • What do I give up?
  • What do I hope to gain?
  • Does “This” align with who I really am or who I’m trying to become?
  • Am I repeating a mistake or growing?
  • Do I feel good about “This”?
  • Does my circle of trust support me?
  • Do I enjoy who I am around and where I am?
  • Am I tired or energized?
  • Should I put more into this or move on?
  • Who really needs me?
  • Who do I really need?
  • Is “This” in or out of my control?
  • Am I fit or fat?
  • Where am I falling short?
  • Where am I succeeding?
  • Who can I be of help to?
  • Who do I know who can help me?

My friends and partners at RHONE are sponsoring an upcoming Men’s Wellness Summit along with Men’s Health Magazine.

This is going to be an incredible opportunity to connect, learn, grow as men AND ask questions. (See how I tied that all together…)

They’re bringing some friends along like Joe Hawley, Brian MacKenzie, and Dr. Myles Spar to name a few – and I’d like to bring along a few of you.

Here’s my personal referral link: https://nor.by/rhSB3E

Hope to see you there. Virtually of course…
